Circles Salt Lake Children’s Programming
Circles Salt Lake has a wonderful Children’s Programming! We encourage our Circle Leaders and Allies to bring their families, which makes up the children involved.
After we share a community dinner, our Circle Leaders and their Allies meet upstairs, while the children go downstairs for their programming.
We currently have 40 children involved in the Children’s Programming and it will be sure to grow after our Circle Leaders are matched to their Allies in June.
We welcome children ages newborn- 17 years to participate in various activities and lessons together. The children are divided into 4 groups based on their ages and developmental stages.
Our Children’s Programming respects a child’s individuality, background, and uniqueness. Many of the children we work with have experienced difficult situations, and therefore, Circles Salt Lake provides the utmost care in providing trauma-informed care to our volunteers so they are equipped with the tools and skills necessary to sensitively interact with the kids.
We also background screen all volunteers who volunteer with the children.
Volunteer with us!
We are always in need of volunteers to assist with this children’s program. Ideally, Circles Salt Lake is striving to have a 1:1 ratio between children and volunteers. This would allow plenty of supervision and attention to be given to each child.
- Volunteers must be ages 10 and up.
- We ask that all volunteers under the age of 16 be accompanied by an adult.
- Volunteers must complete a brief training before volunteering.
