Program Director – Thrive Utah

About the Role:

Location: Hybrid within Utah
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Salary: $90,000–$95,000 annually + benefits
Reports To: Executive Director

Thrive Utah is a new statewide pilot program led by Poverty Reduction Services, designed to support TANF-eligible families as they transition toward self-sufficiency. The Program Director will lead program development and implementation, oversee staff and partnerships, and ensure quality delivery and reporting across the state.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead day-to-day operations and overall implementation of Thrive Utah
  • Supervise and support two full-time Benefit Navigators
  • Develop systems for program tracking, compliance, and improvement
  • Foster partnerships with local providers, employers, and agencies
  • Represent the program in meetings with stakeholders and community events
  • Participate in statewide planning, strategy, and coordination
What We’re Looking For:
  • 5+ years experience in nonprofit or public sector program management
  • Experience launching or leading pilot programs
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Familiarity with TANF or related public benefit programs
  • Ability to travel occasionally in-state and out-of-state
  • Passion for family stability, long-term solutions, and systems innovation
